SOMETHING DIFFERENT (blog carnival)
I’m always filled with great ideas through out the year as to what will be the perfect gift for someone, but then the holidays come and those great ideas go out the window.
This year, I’ve gotten a ton of fabric off of freecycle and from friends who are cleaning out their stash. In one box, there was some lighthouse fabric (side note: my mom loves lighthouses) so I made her a throw pillow. I have some ideas up my sleeve for some of the other fabrics!
I have to admit that the items on my wish list are something different (diaper detergent, shampoo…lol)
What’s a “different” gift you’ve give or received for the holidays?

Our wish list contains many “different” items this year. We’re asking for a piano bench, propane tank and fittings for our gas fireplace, laundry detergent, fabric softener, and then our usual socks and underwear.
A “something different” gift we gave last year was a portable jump kit for my brother-in-law’s truck. It is a very practical gift and I’d highly recommend getting one for friends and family alike. This thing can jump your car, has a flashlight, can serve as an inverter to run your electronics and all sorts of other stuff. And it wasn’t overly expensive. Plus it is small enough to fit behind the bench seat in his extended cab truck.
